Creating a Staking Pool

Hints for pool creators

1min

A list of hints and tips for staking pool creators:

  • Balances If you have set a custom frequency and limited the maximum amount of each distribution to a ratio or fixed amount, you can transfer Signa or the Yield-Token with higher amounts to the contract. The contract will pay only the maximum per each interval. Think about it like a bond paying coupons monthly over the next two years. If you deposited the coupon amounts over the following distributions, the user can be sure that the payments will be made in the future.
  • Expiry If a staking pool expires, you, as a creator, have the right to move out the balance of Signa and Yield-Token still on the contract to your account. You will see a hint like this on the detail page, but only after a final payment from the contract is done. If you do not see this - and the pool is expired - you should send an additional 1 Signa to the pool to trigger the final payment for the holders.

  • Landing Page Staking Pools with no holders or expired are not shown on the landing page - only in the search.
  • Calculations of the market value The market value of the staking pool is taken from the last price of your pledge token in Signa from the on-chain order book.
