**Signa** is the native **coin **of the Signum blockchain. **Miners **receive **transaction fees **and **block rewards** in Signa, encouraging generators to maintain and develop the blockchain network infrastructure.  

## Signa Parameters

**Signa **has been present on the blockchain since inception, and there is no issuing transaction for it. Therefore the Signa coin does not have an ID. The REST API uses null for **Signa **(if needed).

The number of decimal places (decimals) for Signa is 8. The atomic unit called **Planck **is 1/100,000,000 **Signa**.

In August 2014, the blockchain Signum started with an initial premium of 10,000 **Signa **per block. The current block reward is 100 **Signa**. There was no pre-mining or ICO for the Signum blockchain, miners around the world mine all Signa.
