Introduction

Signum's unique feature is auto payments/subscription plans via a single transaction. This transaction is another way to make recurring payments on the Signum blockchain. Like standing orders on your bank account, you set the amount and the interval from at least 60 minutes to several days or months. A message can also be attached and sent to the recipient at the start of the subscription.

Infinite execution

Once this initial transaction is added to the chain, the network can execute the auto payment at intervals beside the average block load. This leads to an infinite maximum of interval payments on the chain besides the average TPS calculation.

Creating an auto payment

When creating an auto payment (Signa Subscription Plan), the user will be able to define the following attributes:

  • Receiver address (account id)
  • Amount to pay in Signa
  • The interval of the payment in seconds (minimum 60 minutes or 3600 seconds)
  • Initial message

The subscription creation will cost 0.01 to 0.06 Signa, depending on the message size within the subscription transaction. The interval payment will cost 0.01 Signa.

Cancellation of an auto payment

A user can cancel the auto payment/subscription after the first initial payment at any time. The signing of a subscription cancellation transaction will cost 0.01 Signa. In an automated way, the auto payment gets cancelled when the user's account balance is insufficient to pay the amount plus the network fee.
