The command line tool is a NodeJS application that can be installed as a globally available command on all major OS, i.e. Linux, MacOS and Windows. 

## Prerequisite

NodeJS Version 16 must be [installed on your OS](https://nodejs.org/en/download/).

Pro-Tipp: Use a NodeJS version manager ([Windows](https://github.com/coreybutler/nvm-windows), [Linux/MacOS](https://github.com/nvm-sh/nvm#install--update-script)) on your system to simplify installation and version management.

Once you have installed NodeJS, check if your installation is working:

```shell
> node --version
v16.10.0
```

## Installation

The installation is pretty easy...

```shell
> npm install  @signumart/massup --global
```

The same command can be used to update an existing installation. In the future, we will introduce an update checker to inform about newly available versions.

To check if the installation was successful, just type 

```shell
> signumart-massup --help
