## Frequently Asked Questions

**Is it better to mine SIGNA with SSD or HDD?**
There is no real advantage to scanning faster or across more drives, using SSDs or anything like that.

**Does the number of CPU cores assigned to mining have any influence?**
Sometimes it does not. You can start mining with 2 or 4 cores. The purpose is that you can read all your hard drives in less than 1 minute. In case reading all your hard drives takes more than 1 minute. You must increase the number of cores to use. You can see the reading time in the log console

**What is the log “HDD, wakeup!” ?**
This is a completely normal process, it is especially useful with hard drives. This makes your hard drive always spin. It will save some energy and prevent wear and tear on the HDD.
